Connecticut ranks in the top five states with the highest health outcomes in the country for 2021, according to UnitedHealth Foundation’s 2021 “America’s Health Rankings” report. The factors that contribute to the state’s high ranking include: behavioral health, mortality and physical health.
The model for this ranking leverages the the World Health Organization’s definition of health: “Health is a state of complete physical, mental, and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity.”
