The Connecticut Health Council formally launched on December 12, its mission to provide rich networking and renowned programming for the state's health sector in full force before a gathering of 400 attendees at the Connecticut Convention Center. Governor Dannel P. Malloy offered welcoming remarks, touching on the importance of investments in efforts such Jackson Labs and the UConn Health Center. Headlining the launch was Robert J. Blendon, Sc.D. of Harvard University.
