EAST HARTFORD, September 21, 2015 - InterCommunity, Inc., a community health center in East Hartford, CT, has been awarded a 2015 Top Workplace, by The Hartford Courant and Fox CT. The Top Workplaces lists are based solely on the results of an employee feedback survey administered by Workplace Dynamics, a research firm that specializes in organizational health and workplace improvement.

This year, a total of 60 winners were selected from a pool of 987 companies. This is the fifth consecutive year that InterCommunity has been named a Top Workplace, an honor designated upon only nine organizations in the state of Connecticut.

“Our staff dedication, passion and commitment to InterCommunity, makes our organization great,” said Kimberly Beauregard, LCSW, President and CEO. “Because of them, InterCommunity is providing cutting edge, revolutionary services, and most importantly, helping the people we serve, and providing ways for them to heal and recover.

This designation is placed upon InterCommunity’s Primary Care and Behavioral Health divisions. Next year, InterCommunity hopes that the designation will span across their newly formed Addiction Services as well (formerly ADRC), transitioning the organization from the Small Category (50-149 employees) to the Mid-Size Category, (150-499 employees).

“We have worked towards creating a new InterCommunity, one where clients can experience smooth transition across programs and levels of care, and staff has enhanced opportunities for career growth and recognition,” said Tyler Booth, LCSW, COO of InterCommunity. “Together, I am confident that the new InterCommunity will continue to be a top workplace.”

InterCommunity’s health center provides same-day primary care services to every member of the community who walks in, regardless of life situation or ability to pay.  They also provide a wide array of behavioral health services. InterCommunity’s Addiction Services offers a similarly wide range of substance use treatment and recovery-supportive services, with many sites in the Hartford area.
