– Harvard Pilgrim Health Care has received a perfect score on the 2016 Corporate Equality Index (CEI), a national benchmarking survey and report on corporate policies and practices related to LGBT workplace equality, administered by the Human Rights Campaign Foundation. Harvard Pilgrim joins the ranks of 391 major U.S. businesses which also earned top marks this year.
“Being recognized as a Best Place to Work by the Human Rights Campaign is extremely meaningful to us at Harvard Pilgrim,” said Eric H. Schultz, president and CEO. “We work hard every day to be an inclusive organization and the Corporate Equality Index helps us know if we are achieving our goals to address the needs of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender communities. We are thrilled to receive a score of 100% for the fourth consecutive year.”
The 2016 CEI rated 1,024 businesses in the report, which evaluates LGBT-related policies and practices including non-discrimination workplace protections, domestic partner benefits, transgender-inclusive health care benefits, competency programs, and public engagement with the LGBT community.
