Shipman & Goodwin LLP Names Two New Partners

Shipman & Goodwin logoHartford, Conn. (January 7, 2016) - Vincenzo Carannante and Jessica L. Ritter have been named partners at Shipman & Goodwin LLP.

Vincenzo Carannante is a member of the firm’s Health Law Practice Group, where he represents a variety of healthcare facilities and providers including hospitals, tissue banks, ambulatory surgical centers, federally qualified health centers, behavioral health providers, clinical laboratories, residential care homes, home health agencies, physician practices and individual practitioners.  Mr. Carannante counsels clients on a wide range of state and federal health care regulatory and business matters, with a focus on compliance and reimbursement issues.  He has been listed as a Connecticut Super Lawyer Rising Star® in Health Care since 2011, and was named a New Leader of the Law by the Connecticut Law Tribune in 2012. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Carannante was a law clerk to the Honorable Thomas A. Bishop of the Connecticut Appellate Court.

Jessica Ritter represents boards of education in both general and special education matters, as well as labor disputes and employment litigation arising in the education context.  Ms. Ritter has negotiated certified and non-certified collective bargaining agreements on behalf of numerous boards of education and has represented public employers in arbitrations and in a wide variety of administrative proceedings before various state agencies.  She was listed as a Connecticut Super Lawyer Rising Star® in Schools & Education in 2014 and 2015. Prior to joining Shipman & Goodwin, Ms. Ritter represented school clients in Connecticut and Massachusetts with a primary focus in education, civil litigation and labor and employment matters.
