'Pulse of the Region' Radio Show on Connecticut's State Innovation Model (SIM) Initiative

Hartford, Conn. (March 21, 2016) - The March 19, 2016 episode of the MetroHartford Alliance's 'Pulse of the Region' radio show featured Connecticut's State Innovation Model (SIM) Initiative, which brings payers, providers and community stakeholders together to improve health system performance, increase quality of care and decrease costs while addressing healthcare inequities. We spoke with Mark Schaefer, PhD, Director of Healthcare Innovation with Connecticut's SIM Program Management Office, and with Mario Garcia, MD, MSc, MPH, SIM Population Health Director with the Connecticut Department of Public Health. Dr. Schaefer will be the keynote speaker and Dr. Garcia will be one of several presenters at the Connecticut Health Council's March 31 program on this subject.
