Connecticut Health Council Hosts Summit Focused on the Advancement of Women’s Health

This fall, the Connecticut Health Council brought together healthcare leaders, business leaders, innovators, researchers, and community partners for our 2026 Annual Summit: The Changing Landscape of Women’s Health.

And what a conversation it was.

We explored women’s health not simply as a healthcare issue, but as a critical part of Connecticut’s workforce, innovation ecosystem, quality of life, and economic future.

From the future of women’s health to research and innovation, from healthcare delivery to performance and wellness, one theme came through clearly: Investing in women’s health has an impact far beyond the individual; it impacts families, employers, the workforce, and it impacts communities.

It also creates opportunities for innovation and economic growth.

We were honored to hear from Andrew Davis of Deloitte, who shared insights into the future of health and what it could look like when we move from reacting to women’s healthcare needs to proactively investing in women’s health.

The conversation continued with an expert panel featuring Paula Greenberg, Women's Health Connecticut; Elise Courtois, The Jackson Laboratory; and Alexa Zammett, PharmD, Novo Nordisk. Panelists discussed how the advancement of research into women's health is now affecting everything from treatment options to preventative care and actions taken by medical practitioners, researchers, and pharmaceutical companies.

We also loved bringing this conversation to Hartford Athletic’s Trinity Health Stadium, where the setting itself reinforced an important part of the conversation: women’s health is also about performance, confidence, wellness, and creating opportunities for women and girls to thrive.

A sincere thank you to our Presenting Sponsors, Deloitte and Women's Health Connecticut, our community sponsors and partners, our speakers and panelists, and everyone who joined us.

The Connecticut Health Council exists to bring the business community of health together—to connect leaders, elevate important conversations, and identify opportunities that can strengthen Connecticut’s healthcare ecosystem and economy.

The summit may be over, but the conversation continues. Connecticut has an opportunity to help shape the changing landscape of women’s health, and the Connecticut Health Council is excited to be part of that work.
